Remember I said there might be an influx of unicorn crafts? well here is another one! I’ve been trying to draw out posting them so my feed isn’t just pure unicorns but my niece and I made so many different unicorn crafts the other week that I’m still only half way through! This paper plate baby unicorn is pretty cute though and they were easy enough for my niece to make without any help at all which is a bonus for all the parents working from home right now. All you have to do is oversee to check scissor safety. Of course smaller children might need a lot more help – like my 4yo did.
You will need
Black and white card
From your white card, cut out two large pointy ears. Using your pink paper, cut out two smaller inner ears. Now cut out your rounded unicorn horn from your coloured card. Glue your inner ear pieces down on your outer ears, then secure your ears and horn in place on the back of your paper plate.
Now to make the eyes; cut out two large black circles and two rounded white hearts. Glue the hearts down on the circles and then stick the circles down in place on your paper plate.
Cut out a big pink oval for the nose and glue it down on the bottom of the plate; underneath your unicorn’s eyes. Now take your coloured paper and cut out several small strips to make the mane, glue them down around the upper rim of the plate; below the ears and horn.
Your super cute and simple paper plate baby unicorn is finished! how adorable are they? We love to see your finished crafts, did you know you can now share them with us on facebook and twitter?
If you've followed the blog at all you will know that my son is mad about all things under the sea. He loves learning about the ocean environment and its inhabitants though his books and we read some of national geographic kids ultimate oceanpedia almost every single day. He loves watching documentaries together too and more often than not hes the one teaching me something new! It was actually him who gave me the idea for this cute paper plate jellyfish
Today I'm back again with another pipe cleaner craft! We had so much fun making these yesterday and came up with some really fun little ideas. I think though that these pipe cleaner snail magnets are my favourite of the day. They're just so adorable and once you get the hang of them they're really easy to make too. We have a whole garden full of them on our fridge right now!
How sweet are these little pipe cleaner apple magnets? It took us a couple of tries to perfect them but now weve got them figured and wanted to share them with you all! In fact, we've got so good at making them that it only takes us a few minutes on each. My son recently Made some sweet apple and worm cards for his teachers as due to current situation he wont be going back to school this year and he wanted to make extra to gift them too. Such a sweet little idea!
